Guest guest
Hi all, My last post of a few minutes ago doesn't seem to have gone through. Hope this one does! Just a word to say that I have absolutely no doubt that. Although one can " play roulette " and be OK, increased physical activity can definitely provoke panc attacks. From childhood onwards, this has been the case for me. There's not a simple 100% corelation, but it happens far too often to be coincidence. Warm wishes to all, Fliss
Guest guest
Fliss, I agree with you on that one. While I usually just try to " blow right through the pain " during physical exertion, I know I probably shouldn't be doing that. I am slowly digging myself a 35 foot X 4 foot wide rose bed. You think I'd be satisfied with my 9 X 20 foot garden already!!! :-) I have had to dig up all the sod that was there and dig down a good 8 inches despite the fact I will have a border of decorative rock border. I am just so excited about this. I love gardening. And I am not getting any help from my son or husband as they both have a hurt back and shoulder right now. So I go this alone. BUT I can sure feel that I have done WAY too much. I have all the old feelings of pain in all the old places, that aren't a normal part of my pain day anyway (that I had thankfully forgotten about) of all my other pre-hospital stays that I haven't had for 3 1/2 years. It's kinda scary actually. Maybe it's my time to start back with pancreatic attacks ending up in the hospital since I haven't been for so very long. Maybe I am inducing them by doing too much. I don't know. But I do know that I don't wanna stop living just because I am sick. And I know that I don't want this pain to keep me from doing what I love. Granted, the digging and moving of the stones is probably what is throwing me over the edge, but at this point right here in my life I feel if I give into the pain and stop what I love, then this disease wins and I lose.
