Guest guest
Well I thought all day and I think the person in the movies that I see myself as is the girl from " Broken Arrow " - that movie with Christian Slater and Travolta. I have her personality, I was a state park ranger for a few years, I love riding trains in Colorado, and like to think I can take care of myself in tough situations - do anything that a man can do and better (although I have never shot a gun) and I surely don't care about getting dirty or staying clean (or staying fully dressed when circumstances call for improvisation)....and I am not a mushy person although I can really appreciate good " man-scenary " . Captain Hale in the movie - yum. Although after last night I feel more like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz (we had to hide in the basement last evening while the funnels were dancing in the sky). I chuckled hugely about your comment on Granny Klampit. Now I really will have to revise my image of you!! And I am not too sure about the fried food....how you can do that. Just thinking about it makes my stomach clench. I am so happy that I don't have to worry about providing food for anyone. My husband fends for himself, because we have such diverse eating habits (both time of day that we prefer to eat as well as type of food. He is a carnavore and I am an herbivore). In a way, this illness melded perfectly with my life....other than the candy thing. I never drank, I didn't eat meat, didn't eat that much either (just too much sweets before CP) so I really didn't have to modify my eating habits too much. Funny how that works. So I have it on good authority (a future dietician?) that it is ok to give into my cravings! I will remember that the next time this urge over powers me. The appetite suppressants that I was taking are those over the counter ones. I am not too concerned because I usually only pop them into my mouth to stop those type of cravings that I mentioned yesterday and when the I really, really have to stop eating for a few days. I only use them a couple of times a year....maybe a half dozen...maybe a dozen. But I am surely going to look for those giant M&Ms. I didn't know that they were out there. I guess I gotta start watching more TV, and read my books less. Well winters coming so I think I will have more TV time going on in my life. Granny Klampit huh......specs and all? frying up the 'possum? Chasing the chikens through the mansion? Swatting Jethro on the butt with the broom? Screeching at Mr Drysdale? laurie
