Guest guest
Hello, I am trying to do the SCD for mainly my now 5yr old son, but the whole family is doing it along with us. My son has been diagnosed with reflux, asthma, food allergies, and eosinophilic gastroenteritis. He still continues to have reflux, alternates between conspipationa and loose stools, and frequent tummy aches. I've tried numerous elimination diets and approaches, and many doctors and tests for Celiac and other conditions, all negative. He has never done well on any grains or sugar or processed foods of any kind. Has anyone had any luck with the SCD helping a young child? His GI doctor wants to do another endoscopy, this will be his 3rd since birth. I am desperate to help him. The doctors think I am restricting his diet too much, and push me to give him wheat and other grains. Debbie in CT

There are many members with small children who have been helped with SCD - some have had allergies, reflux, eosinophilic disorders etc.. Is it a routine recheck or is he actively symptomatic?
