Guest guest
If I go back to MUSC there are so many people who already know. It is a huge hospital and very much like a small town. Everybody talks about everybody. My co-workers always respected my privacy and I really did not like talking about it because it always make me cry. For all account and purposes I have not worked since Oct of 03 when I had the transduodenal sphincteroplasty. I went back after 10 weeeks and lasted only a month when I had an acute attack, at work, and had to be hospitalized for 10 days or so. Thats when they put in the g-j tube and told me I needed the total and was sending me to Cincy to look into the islet cell tx. The doc there turned me down, I came back to ton and had the Beger about a month later. I went back to work part time after about a 12 week recoup and couldn't do it, lasted only about 3 weeks when I put in my formal(if you want to call it that.. that was a very bad scene with that b*&%#H of a nurse manager) resignation. So I guess on paper I have been out since June of 04, but had really been out 6 months earlier. That part I will leave out unless asked directly. So really I have not worked in almost 2 years. That is one reason why I really really feel I need a letter from the surgeon that I am good to go. I saw your posts on the pancreatectomy survivors site. I read the posts a lot more then I write. Good luck on Monday and please please let me know how it goes. You can email personally if you like at cdrrn@... .
