Guest guest
Dear Heidi, Thank you so much for your kind thoughts. I'll keep in touch and let you know next week what happens. We won't be devastated if he does need the radiotherapy because some new studies indicate it's a good safeguard anyway in cases like Jim's, where the tumour was more extensive than had been anticipated, even though still confined to the prostate. Of course, if it's not needed yet, we'll be delighted. We have cousins from the US coming over to stay in a few weeks so it would be be much better if Jim wasn't involved with daily treatment. We also planned to go to Prague at half-term. Finally and principally, there is a risk of bowel or bladder complications with the treatment although this is much lower with the latest type of radiotherapy, to which, thank God, we do have access locally. Heidi, I haven't asked just how you are yourself. I am now going to track back through ALL your recent posts to get a fuller picture, which I should have done before writing this note! I just wanted to thank you quickly for your kind message! I do hope you are feeling well. I'll be in touch again when I've read through everything. With love and thanks, Fliss (UK)
