Guest guest
My 9 yr old son eats a very scant diet because of allergies/seizures. I introduced egg into his diet yesterday. I was planning on starting the intro diet today. My yogurt is cooking right now, and I am very excited. We are seeing new things with him1 A few hours after the eggs, he was yelling " no " and just being very cross. He stayed up til 4:00 a.m. He would not stay in bed. He was hitting, biting, yelling, spitting. He was doing weird things too, like grabbing his tongue and other things. We tried holding him down. He drank many many glasses of water. Finally at around 2:00 we gave him charcoal. Didn't do a thing. At 3:00, we gave him 1 melatonin and at 3:45 another. He fell asleep around 4:00 and got up at 10:30. I thought he would sleep in. Yesterday he got up early too. I had been thinking he was jsut feeling so good he got up early so he could play. But after last night I am thinking he is just wired. Please help. I am not giving him eggs today. Last night I made his chicken soup, which is wonderful. He did have some last night but he was already yelling and stuff before that. Please help. I don't know what will happen tonight, we will be desperately needing sleep! Thank you all so much! jo

What a bad reaction to eggs. Were they regular store eggs or free range eggs? Either way I'd avoid them for quite a long time. If he'll eat the soup/broth that may help flush it out of his system. I'd suggest waiting on the yogurt until things settle down and then start small 1/8 tsp. The intro (or as much as you are able) may help .
