Guest guest
Well, my husband's employer announced a few weeks ago that they are closing their doors at the end of September. I started getting things into motion re jobs for Dennis. He is waiting on an answer from a company in southwestern Virginia that he would love to work for, is down to him and one other so should hear something soon, as it was supposed to be decided last Friday. In the meantime, another company in Rutherfordton NC want him to call them if he doesn't get that job, as does another company in High Point, NC I have also sent his resume to another company in north KY, just below Cincinatti but not sure if we'll hear from that one. Also have someone who is interested to buy our house/land so it seems everything is falling into place with just our destination unknown right now. Just in case all the above fall through, I was browsing bank websites and applied for a positon with First TN Bank...went for an interview the next day, drug screen, and the day after accepted a full time position. So have been organising daycare for , buying work clothes (this bank isn't a casual dress one, so it's back to professional clothing and shoes) and I start on Monday. If Dennis doesn't get anything straight away, he will become Mr Mum and also do a correspondence course to get his mechanical engineering degree whilst I continue to work. I am tumour free, and just hope that nothing ails me in the near future. I'm rather excited about moving to a new state (well, VA won't be a new state so much as Dennis' family live in the area we will be moving to), but this is a big thing for me. I haven't worked for 5 years and been sick for most of them. Most of all I'll miss being a full time mum, but this could be good for also..socialisation wise at her young age..
