Guest guest
, Debs mentioned the antioxidants helping with depression, and I have to second that. We've both noticed it, and have felt a difference in our attitudes and the way we deal with depression and stress when NOT taking the antioxidants. I've studied this a little and it seems to be that the L-Methionine was the ingredient that helped deal with depression. You might consider this. They don't have any side effects. Also, a ditto on the St. 's Wart. My husband suffered from severe depression after 9/11. He's a pilot, and his industry was failing tremendously, he went through an immediate period where he was afraid to fly, and then the threat of losing his job was floating over his head. He is not allowed to take almost all prescription medications, antidepressants, especially, so I encouraged him to try St. 's Wart, as that was permitted. He tried it, and has been taking it ever since, because he's found that it makes such a positive difference in his mental state and in his personality. I can even tell the difference when he stops taking it. He will change from a person with a positive outlook, someone who smiles and has a warm, interested interest in strangers - to a frowning grouch who shuns other people, avoids social interaction and only sees gloom on his horizon. It's unbelievable that this much of a personality and attitude change can be attributed to this one natural product, but I've seen it happen with him. Just a thought.....
