Guest guest
Thank you both for sharing your " changing " pain experiences with me. It is so hard to tell whether I have new problems or just the same old CP and SOD when everything changes. This disease also seems to be specific to the individual so again " how do you know?? " . When I posted the original message I did feel a little scared about what was happening and I normally don't scare easily. Thank God for this board!! You all have such a way of explaining things in a calming manner. I had an appt with my GP yesterday and he prescribed oxycodone for my pain (the very lowest dose). Since I haven't been on pain meds at all, I am quite sure this will take care of any pain I might have. Went to the pharmacy last night and got it filled but haven't had the nerve to take one yet. Had my glucose level tested too and it was normal. Heidi, I work for a chiropractor and yes they are invaluable for many pain issues. I also use a TENS unit and I cannot even tell you how many heating pads I have bought over the years!! I have one in almost every room of the house! , I know exactly about those excruciating " attacks " of pain from outta nowhere!! They are hard to deal with for sure. And I am like you, who wants to be on pain meds everyday? They knock me for a loop and I end up in bed or on the sofa...missing out on life. BUT I have come to terms that if I don't start controlling my pain I WILL miss out on life. I hope both of you are having a wonderful pain free day. Thanks again for your care and support.
