Guest guest
Hi all what a day it was going well then my boss who has been complained about by a customer again, send me emails at home then another manager, I was not scheduled to work today and they keep sending them to my private email address. The occupational therapist who, is monitoring my return to work e.g. hours etc, told him in writing and at last weeks meeting not to do this. I just ended up in tears they are sending work home to my own email address now. I opened it an hour ago like 10 30 at night and have been upset ever since My partner's reaction is well quit then which just makes me more upset, this is happening each weekend. The return to work is as a result of a work accident I don't know what to do, all this does is stress me right out and make my headaches and sleep worse. The doc offered to give me antidepressants but I dotn want to go on those again sigh Debs
Guest guest
I know it's not a true fix, but you could always say you changed your email address because you were getting too much spam *L* I don't know what else to offer except to go back to the woman who is monitoring your hours. Ask if he can be put on a written warning or something. Secondly, don't open your emails from your boss after 3pm of an afternoon, if at all. At least in doing that you can make contact with someone to complain about it then and not worry about it through the night. Thirdly, write an email back to your boss reminding him that you are restricted to such and such hours for work due to your injuries therefore, would he please not send any extra work, especially to your private email address... Just an aside...surely him sending company business to your private emails would be unethical and against company policy? ...invasion of privacy sort of thing even though you are an employee? I wouldn't want anything to do with my business being sent to an employee's personal email address. Would automatically think that my information / details were being made PUBLIC knowledge...that could be an avenue to follow up on Debs...and if that does change and they go to your work email only, then ONLY open it during the hours you are to work. Be tough on yourself to not be tempted to open any emails from work during your personal time. If you are on restricted hours with permission from compo or work rehabilitation or whatever, he legally can't have you fired because of that. I would also be making another written report to the authority figures that he is blatantly ignoring all the previous requests and advisements etc.. Guest guest
Hi Thanks, change me email address haha it's a goodie. I have gone back to the woman monitoring it and copied her the emails etc They have also written on my medical report that the boss is not complying and it is causing issues with my return to work e.g. he is exacerbating the symptoms The one about opening the emails after 3pm is good, it just was bad when I opened them at home at 10 30 at night then didn't sleep and it caused me stress all weekend, Col's response is just cruise, he wants to solve it but it doesn't have an easy solution and he's not great to talk with re this sigh I will write another email to him reminding him as you said of the work accident and not to send to my private address etc. Its all sound advice thanks and yes I will write a warning back Thanks a lot > I know it's not a true fix, but you could always say you changed > your email address because you were getting too much spam *L* > > I don't know what else to offer except to go back to the woman who > is monitoring your hours.
