Guest guest
It really does sound like that hospital is in a panic. Is it a state run facility? It would be incredibly difficult for a med student to switch colleges mid-stream. In the more advanced level of academia its not uncommon for doctorate candidates to switch around to find the area of their concentration. But for a plain ole med student it could be catastrophic. I hope things will work out for you. I understand the insurance issue. I think I remember reading somewhere that a generic form of zofran would be available soon. Having met its X number of years for sole patent or something along those lines. Having a generic form, a cheaper form, of the drug would certainly make it more assesable as the tinsurance co's wouldn't be having such a cow about it. I have tons of zofran and every time I go to the doc I ask for another script. Its just one of those drugs I dont like to be without. I have 2 full bottles now, give or take, and will ask for another next week. They are the 8mg dose, I like that because I can pop them in half, makes them last longer. When I am in full blown head swimming nausea I take an 8mg, for the queasy annoying nausea I take the 4mg. I usually have the annoying nausea these days. I'd be happy to share them with you. Do you take reglan, I have bookoo of that too. My husband is a Longshoreman, union, and the insurance they provide is phenominal. However, the day I sign the divorce papers I loose it. So heres to staying legally married for the rest of my life!! I do have a low grade temp, and the night sweats. I do bruise easily but that could be the diabetes and I feel totally crappy. I know I should not think it, but I am really worried about my liver. The pain is in that general area(if my liver is still even there, who knows where they put it) the isselt cells where placed there and my sugars are getting high again, no signs of jaundice tho, thats good. An infection would be a lot easier to handle then my liver going into rejection. I have had a lot of diahrrea, even with the miralax, so that could be indicative of an infection or small obstruction. I think way tooooo much! I have the cat scan on monday and will see him on wednesday, and yes it is good that he has always been very aggressive with me. He also knows that when I say something is wrong, then something is wrong. He learned that the hard way. I hate ct scans, the barium makes me sooooo sick. Well best of luck with the job, oh and another thing. The concept of calling patients 'customer' has been sort of bitter sweet. It does take some of the 'blame' (so to speak) off the administrator, that whole caveate emptor stuff, but it has empowered patients. I have seen more patients stand up and say, " NO " your not doing this, to doctors, nurses, and staff. What we need is an even medium, where patients feel free to speak up and administrators respect them and their rights. To dream the impossible dreammmm... I'm breaking into song...LOL Talk soon,
