Hypotonia and delayed milestones--not autism

Hello,

My son has always suffered from terrible GI problems (bloody diarrhea,

pain, and now, terrible constipation). He also has low muscle tone,

and significant delays in his gross motor skills. I am considering

putting him on the SCD, as the GF/CF has never really rid him of his

symptoms or discomfort.

My question is, is there anyone out there whose child has had similar

problems, but who is not on the autism spectrum, who showed

improvement on the SCD?

TIA,

Hi ,

In answer to your question i would say putting your son on SCD would

be fantastic for him. When first started the diet she was

very underweight, and not doing ANYTHING physically (and she was 14

months old). Within four months she has moved back onto the normal

range in weight for girls her age, she's crawling on hands and knees

and pulling to stand and she just continues to amaze me.

She was diagnosed with Global Developmental Delay and she does have

quite a lot of autistic tendancies but from what you've said that your

son suffers from digestive problems then it certainly makes sense that

healing his gut would help him to gain weight/muscle tone..

is 19 months old and still not walking but now it seems its

at least in sight soon whereas before SCD it looked like it might

never happen.

Hope this helps!

Mum to (3 years, NT) and (18mths, GDD)
