Dear Joyce,

God saw that she was badly hurt

and a cure was not to be

so he put his arms around her

and gently said, " come with me "

With tearful eyes we watched her go

and saw her fade away

and realized that the time had come

which was her final day

So many times we've cried when put to such a test

And then we pray to understand

that God knows what is best
