Guest guest
I was making yogurt late last night and when I got up this morning I noticed I forgot to turn the dehydrator on to ferment it. So, 2 gallons of goat milk ready to be fermented sat there for 6 hours. Is it still okay to ferment or should it be thrown away. It smelled great in spite of all this, but I know how careful you have to be with the goat milk. I have an SCDer and non-SCDer who consumes it. I drive 175 miles to get fresh goat milk and it is painful to have to throw it away in addition to the fact that it will be another 3 more days before more is ready to eat due to the time involved in thawing, making and getting it ready to eat the way my different family members eat it. <big long whine> Bonita

If it were me I'd throw it out. When I have tried to save boo-boo's that I have made similar to this I have gotten sick. So now, if there is any doubt I start fresh.
