Guest guest
Hi all, Hope you are all having a nice weekend. I am getting ready to take my daughter & her friend to see Willy Wonka. About the only thing I have the energy to do this weekend. We were supposed to go boating with family members but had to cancell. On top of my pancreas/gallbladder pain I have the flu or something this week. Extremely achy, feverish, sore throat, etc... Well my sister-in-law stops by to ask what I am bringing to the lake & I tell her we are not going & she says " You don't look sick " along with a few other comments that were hurtful to me. I realize that people who don't suffer from chronic illness don't understand but some times the little comments that they may not even realize they make just plain bug me & eat at me. I am so thankful that I am blessed with this group of people that I know I can vent to & not feel judged. Also, I have an appt. this Friday with a surgeon about having my gallbladder removed & my boss tells me " you have to work Friday " , (i usually have Friday's off) & I explain to her that this is a very important appt. & my GI doc got me squeezed in & I was happy that it was on a Friday because it is my day off. Now she wants me to try & get it moved. Not only will I have to wait another 3 to 4 weeks for an appt. but my GI doc. will not be very happy as he went out of his way & squeezed me in. I don't know, I am just feeling really frustrated right now. Probably because I feel so lousy. Sorry to dump on every one. I feel a little better now though. My job is wearing me out. The only reason I am working is because I want to be able to send my girls to college. I was denied for permanent disability 2 times & it really doesn't pay much any way. K.
