Can you list a couple of Your butter replacements casein free. I having a hard

time find some...besides goats butter.

Hi all

I've read in 'We Band of Mothers' about the question of giving yogurt

to SCD new starters (after 6 months if casein has been a problem), but

can't find out about when I can start giving butter to them.

I have a list of replacements for butter, but wondered at what point I

could start trying him with butter. (My boy reacts badly to casein -

eg, parmesan in pesto sauce caused diarrhoea and smearing to return

after months on GFCF so I am wary.)

I know that coconut oil can be substituted for butter in recipes - not sure

of the amounts or which brand to go for in the UK though.

Hi Christy,

Besides ghee (clarified butter) other casein free SCD legal butter

replacements are legal shortening (Spectrum 100% palm oil ) or coconut

oil.
