Guest guest
is having side effects from his injections. He is supposed to give himself three a day in his belly. So far, he has managed one a day and yesterday and today I think, he hasn't taken any because they make him so sick. He gets dizzy, whoozy, extremely nauseous and he sweats buckets. He looks like he is read to drop dead. Did any of you have a response like this? How long before it stopped. Any tips to prevent it? He has been doing the shots after a meal and I gave him a candy bar after one to see if that would stop his reaction. It did, but three hours later. He is sick for about six hours. Other than that - he is doing great Today he celebrated his first anniversary. What a year for him and his bride - they definitely have experience the worst - I hope!!! Love ya and pray my heart out for you all. LInda
Guest guest
Hi , I was on the once a month time release injection of octreotide for about 8 months or longer. I had no ill effects(other thena sore bottom from the monthly inj) and found that it did help reduce my discomfort. Suggest to he ask his doc about this form of dosing. The drug does him no good at all if he cant tolerate the daily injections. I did have to receive these shots in the docs clinic every month, but I was there anyway for all the other things we had to deal with. Hope this helps, (SC)
