Loose stools

This is so hard for me to grasp. I feel like I don't know what I'm

doing. My son is eating chicken, carrots, fish and bananas. I

recently took out green beans and grape juice and the jello. Today I

stopped the applesauce (homemade). His stools are loose with carrots

in them. Does this mean he is not digesting the carrots? I am

peeling them and cooking them for 4 hours. He has been scd for 1 1/2

weeks. He is taking 1/2 tsp goat yogurt 2 x day plus a legal

probiotic ( 1 cap) per day. What should I feed him? Is there any

other information out there for me to read and learn from? I don't

feel like I know enough to help him.

Thank you,

jo

Hi, jo,

Sometimes it helps to re-read everything you've already read--BTVC, the

excellent guidance on www.pecanbread.com. Also, when I started, I just

read old posts in the archive whenever I had a little time. I really

learned a lot from that.

Sounds like you are preparing the carrots correctly. Some have better

luck if they puree them--some kids just don't chew well enough. So you

might try that. Zucchini or a winter squash like butternut would be

good things to try next. Peel, seed, cook well, puree if you find that

necessary. You can leave in the zucchini seeds if they are small. You

can also try other meats.
