timing & dosage of S. Boulardii

Hi,

Is there a preferred time to dose the S. Boulardii? I am giving my

son about 1/2 c of yogurt, 3 times per day. I give him a Candex

capsule about an hour after his last meal (at bedtime). I did read

that it should not be given close to an anti-fungal. How much is a

good starting dose?

You can give the S. boulardii along with the yogurt or with meals.

Take it at least two hours before the Candex (anti-fungal) since the

anti-fungal will kill the S. boulardii. If your son is having

diarrhea you may want to open the capsules so they don't pass thru

undigested.

I started with about 1/4 capsule and over a number of days slowly

increased the amount to minimize die off as much as possible.
