Guest guest
Hi Sheila, I deleted the email post from you by accident but I think you were asking for a review of how long I've been on the diet as well as what foods I'm eating. I've been on the diet since Aug 1- tapering off a low dose of Prednisone (too low to effect real healing) which ended last week or so. I am eating: am - coffee, honey, eggs, sometimes cheese, occ prune juice if const. other meals: gr turkey, beef, chicken, fish, occ steak (all natural antibiotic/hormone free) fruits: applesauce, pureed strawberries (once), ripe bananna veg: butternut/acorn squash, peeled seeded zucc, carrots, beets, spinach, occ swiss ch, tried pureed cauli but didn't do well. condiments: butter, lem juice, red wine vinegar, dried herbs (no additives), occ. garlic pressed. no yoghurt - tried early on saw incr bleeding and itchy palms/armpits supps: GI pro acidophilus/s boulardi, sugar/starch, etc. free calc/mag and multivit I made the intro soup with chicken and but squash when I started bleeding a little bit yesterday. I stopped the cashew butter/flour...tried the squash muffins today. Is butter and honey and coffee illegal in the intro? Maybe I didn't do it right...what's the deal with carrots being cooked for 4 hours? How do you do that? crock pot? If I start the yogurt again - do I stop the probiotics? Thanks for your help, Liz ps - is the black walnut powder legal in the gel caps? --------------------------------- Check out the hottest 2008 models today at Yahoo! Autos. Pureeing the cooked carrots helps the body even more. << How do you do that? crock pot?>> In a pot or a crock pot. <<If I start the yogurt again - do I stop the probiotics?>> You can take yogurt and probiotics at the same time. << ps - is the black walnut powder legal in the gel caps?>> Hmmm.... I am not sure (and have a wicked headache and need to stop staring at the screen). Is it the hull or actual walnut powder? Sheila

Guest guest
Hi Liz, Since you are weaning off prednisone some of the foods you may have tolerated at higher doses you may not be okay with now since the dose is lower. I don't think the black walnut hull is legal, Do you have parasites (I looked through past emails but couldn't find if you were or not) It may be a good idea to go back to the intro and see if that helps clear up the diarrhea. All those foods you are posted are legal but I thought you said you were doing well. Since you are still having bleeding it may help to go to the easier to digest foods and give your body a chance to heal before returning to these harder to digest legal foods. <<from previous emails: " veg: butternut/acorn squash, peeled seeded zucc, carrots, beets,>> Beets: Some have trouble because it has a lot of natural sucrose and fiber. <<spinach, occ swiss ch,>> Swiss chard is in the cabbage family and it is likely to soon since you are still having symptoms. <<tried pureed cauli but didn't do well.>> Caul is in cabbage family also. <<condiments: butter, lem juice, red wine vinegar, dried herbs (no additives), occ. garlic pressed.>> Herbs and garlic may be troublesome since you still have occasional bleeding. <<no yoghurt - tried early on saw incr bleeding and itchy palms/armpits>> Since you still have bleeding the good enzymes in yogurt may be aggravating this. If you wait a while longer more healing may allow you to tolerate the yogurt. For the itchiness: was it goat or cow yogurt?
