" I can understand how frustrated you must be. There has been so much built up about the visit to IU, so much hope put into that visit, only to be discharged. I did not realize that had already seen Dr. Sherman. I have spoken to both Dr. Lehman and Dr. Sherman about their philosophy regarding patient who " play one doctor against the other. " That is the way they see it anyway. They feel like they screen their pancreatologists very well before bringing them onto the IU team. Therefore once a patient sees one of their MDs, another MD will not see the same patient. They said that they understand that the patient may not like the answers they receive, but another MD at IU will not have anything else to say, especially since they care plan all the patients together. My heart goes out to . I feel her pain and sadness. I hope that can maintain her courage and not withdraw even further into her depression.
