Guest guest
i think you should make clear that its the opinion of the pecanbread moderators that it can be used and its not elaine gottschalls ruling the way elaine gottschall was thinking, she would never approve it the website says " GI ProHealth carries a SCD legal brand of Saccharomyces Boulardii. " thats not true and a violation of the copyright > > It is an additional legal probiotic. Is this speculation or something she actually stated--and specifically why would S Bourlardii be controversial? Thanks, Keli. Re: Supplement Question-S. Guest guest
Elaine approved saccharomyces boulardii shortly before we lost her. I have a printout of her post and will try to find it to send to the list. --- Eileen Prunster wrote: > > i think you should make clear that its the opinion > of the pecanbread > moderators that it can be used and its not elaine > gottschalls ruling > > the way elaine gottschall was thinking, she would > never approve it ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Don't let your dream ride pass you by. Guest guest
Hi Eileen, Elaine had received very positive feedback from a nurse that was using S. boulardii to treat C. difficile successfully at their practice. Elaine requested that we forward that information to the list, since many people were having a hard time with C. difficile. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/pecanbread/message/55707 S. boulardii is a different type of yeast than S. cerevisae (sp?) (brewer's yeast and other SCD illegal yeasts). It is a beneficial yeast that works in conjunction with helpful bacteria. This is why Elaine allowed it. GiProHealth does carry a brand of S. boulardii that is SCD legal. Kirkman's also carries a brand of S. boulardii that is legal. There may be other legal brands but people need to carefully look at the ingredients. Hope that helps clear up the probiotic yeast misunderstanding Sheila, SCD Feb. 2001, UC 23yrs, PCOD 22yrs mom of and > > > i think you should make clear that its the opinion of the pecanbread > moderators that it can be used and its not elaine gottschalls ruling > > the way elaine gottschall was thinking, she would never approve it > > the website says > > " GI ProHealth carries a SCD legal brand of Saccharomyces Boulardii.
