Guest guest
My 17 month old son will only get his vitamins if I shoot them down his throat with a dropper. I stopped giving him his Poly Vi Sol vitamins three days ago when we began the intro diet-can I resume? Has anyone else used them? They are in a glycerin base, and I couldn't find anything illegal on the supplement list. If they are illegal, what is the dropper style supplement that is approved? Guest guest
Hi , I know nothing about Poly Vi Sol. Please send the list members the list of ingredients. Freeda makes a special multivitamin for SCD. You can find info about it on the Supplement section of www.pecanbread.com A new multi vitamin has been formulated for SCD children with ASD. http://www.giprohealth.com/giprochild.html I hope that list parents send us updates about this new product. The second product looks like it might be easier to shoot in a dropper since it comes in a powder form. Hi , we tried the Metagenics dropper style multi-vitamins for Josh. However, he did not tolerate them. I have a full bottle of them that I have kept stored in the frig. Take a look at them and let me know if you would like to come by and pick up the bottle I have. http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/kb/childrens_l iquid_multivitamin.htm If you decide to try them or any other MV, I would suggest introducing them one their own just like you would a new food. This way you will know for certain whether he is tolerating them or not. Since Josh did not tolerate the MV we have started juicing and giving him the Tropicana Pure Premium OJ as well as the Welch's Grape Juice. Both have 100% vit C. Summer Josh 3yo, colitis since birth, SCD since July
Guest guest
Hi, In the Gipro Health multiple vitamin for SCD children with ASD there is inositol and kelp. Both of which I thought were illegal ingredients? Beth UC SCD 2 1/2 months Re: Poly Vi Sol--Legal? Hi , I know nothing about Poly Vi Sol. Please send the list members the list of ingredients. Guest guest
Hi Beth, Thank you very much for letting me know about this. I was too busy to check things carefully. I will check with others and get back to you and the list. Mimi > > In the Gipro Health multiple vitamin for SCD children with ASD there is inositol and kelp. Guest guest
Hi Beth, << In the Gipro Health multiple vitamin for SCD children with ASD there is inositol and kelp. Both of which I thought were illegal ingredients? > Beth > UC > SCD 2 1/2 months>> Elaine wrote that a small amount of inositol in a supplement is okay. What is not okay is taking large amounts of it. Some were supplementing with inoisitol as a stand alone supplement in much larger amounts. The GiProHealth " GiProChild " multivitamin doesn't contain kelp, it contains iodine which is derived from kelp. This is okay in the same manner that corn oil is okay, but corn is not. Just to clear it up the GiProHealth " Provital " multivitamin is not SCD legal. They make two multivitamins. If someone orders them make sure you order the correct one: GiProHealth " GiProChild " multivitamin: Legal GiProHealth " Provital " multivitamin : *Illegal* Sheila, SCD Feb. 2001, UC 23yrs, PCOD 22yrs mom of and
