Guest guest
My daughter 3.5 year old daughter Sophie, who has a seizure disorder with delay, reflux and possible other issues yet diagnosed has been on the diet for about 2.5 weeks. Currently she eats broiled meats, cooked carrots, spinach, zucchini, squash and did eat green beans but I'm wondering if they are causing her to be a bit constipated. I've also started juicing carrots and apples to help her constipation and the cold she currently has. I also just started to give her some banana and apple sauce but have been wary because of bad candida. I was wondering if anyone would be able to suggest the best order to introduce supplements? I would like to eventually introduce probiotics, digestive enzymes (because food isn't always fully digested in stool), and maybe a good multi-vit. I just started to give cod liver oil. Sophie is also having pretty bad die off symptoms (tantrums, aggression, colds, dark circles worse, waking during the night, gas, stools very smelly and consistency changes, bad breath, etc.) I've been giving her epsom salt baths. I've also read that activated charcoal is helpful, but I'm not sure about how much to give and for how long. I just bought some capsules that contain 280mg of charcoal in each capsule. Sophie weighs about 35 lbs. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Gisele, mom to Sophie 3.5 years and Luke 2 years
Guest guest
Hi Gisele, <<My daughter 3.5 year old daughter Sophie, who has a seizure disorder > with delay, reflux and possible other issues yet diagnosed has been on> the diet for about 2.5 weeks. For some people cooking and pureeing them alleviates this problem. For others (like myself) they are not tolerated until later, probably because they are part of the legume family. <<I was wondering if anyone would be able to suggest the best order to > introduce supplements? The enzymes can help with the undigested food and remove some of the food for the yeast. Starting with 1/2 or less of a daily dose and working up helps decrease the intensity of die off symptoms. That applies to probiotics and enzymes. <<Sophie is also having pretty bad die off symptoms (tantrums, > aggression, colds, dark circles worse, waking during the night, gas, > stools very smelly and consistency changes, bad breath, etc.) I've > been giving her epsom salt baths.
