Guest guest
First off I would like to apologize for my absence from the group. I have continued to read all the posts (thrilled about Kat's and 's upcoming whipples) but I have not been feeling well and find it difficult to post when I feel cruddy. I saw the surgeon last week and he thinks I have adhesions. I am having pain and mild nausea and was wondering if anybody else had any experiences with adhesions. He wanted to put me back on the narcotics but I said no. So he and I went round and round about it and I have Ultram which doesn't help one bit. He also does not feel that I have gastroparesis but a bit of gastritis. I have been really very uncomfortable and not feeling well at all. Eileen give yourself some more time you heal. You had a very sick gallbaldder and no doubt it was difficult for your body to have it removed. Have you told your doc how you are feeling? There is a very good chance that with that much sludge and stones backing up into your panc, then having it removed could have thrown you into an attack. This still could be temporary. I will pray that it is. It hasn't been that long since the surgery, give yourself time. Heidi I have seen quite a few of those yellow ribbons. By all means get the biggest one you can find. Everytime I drive by a home with those yellow ribbons I say a silent prayer for them. Dont feel that you need to keep that stiff upper lip either. You are worried about your child. Dont keep that bottled up inside, but dont freak out Austin either, but keeping that in will only add to your stress. And we all know what stress can do, right. If you ever want to talk, I'm here. I have been realy depressed lately because of how I am feeling. It is so similiar, although not nearly as bad, as what I had felt when I had a pancreas. I am back to taking the zofran around the clock and I just hate the queasy, pukey feeling so much. Its really quite painful and I was tellin gBilly yesterday that maybe I should have gotten some dilaudid after all. I just hate hate hate the narcs. Its very distressing, everything that I have been through and I am still having problems. I do trust entirely he has taken great care of me; I had just thought it was all in my past. I sure as heck cant get a new job feeling like this. I coulnd't even do my regular beach stroll that I always do and left the beach 2 hours after we got there. Kids loved that. Well thats enough of my whining. I hope everybody is doing well and had a pleasant holiday weekend. Warmly, (SC)
Guest guest
Adhesions have been put down to all the pain I've been suffering from away from where the tumours have been growing, and can be as painful as the tumours have been for me. There are many people on my Desmoid Tumour site who are having to take pain meds for adhesions alone. Of course, you know my body has been found to make more than the average person, so I just have to live with it. I wasn't sure about the nausea being caused by it though... I have a little nausea in the mornings, but nothing severe or needing nausea meds. I am glad though that it isn't another hernia or problem with your pancreas..pain meds might have to be the lesser of 2 evils in this instance..at least until your body has further chance to heal and then if the doctor and you feel comfortable and can have them removed..as you once suggested a possibility for me...unfortunately for me, that is a no can do option..but I have been lucky to not having had much pain over the past 6 weeks. Take care,
Guest guest
Thanks . Hey shouldn't you be a work? How is that new job going? I would still love to see a picture of you all gussied up in your fancy professional outfits. I bet you look great!!!! I remember when we talked about adhesions before and the laporascopic lysis of them is a rather simple surgery. For most folks. I just always seem to have a negative reaction to surgeries. they have never really worked out so hot for me. I am very very relieved that it is not my liver tho, that was my biggest worry. Do you know if adhesions will go away with time or get worse, stay the same. I cant seem to find a whole lot of info on it. I did not see where they can cause nausea. but I guess if they are constricting or limiting the stomachs transit time it could. I am really feeling sick tho, and not trying to be nasty, but my stool is white, white. I am taking my enzymes too so that has me a little confused. How is likeing her day care? Whats going on with Dennis' career opportunities? I know I have been absent and am sorry, I just have been feeling really sick these last few weeks and its not getting any better. Its got me really depressed and questioning everything. I do have a bad habit of disappearing when I feel bad. I am so glad that you are not having any pain right now. Perfect timing all things considered dont you think. I hope it last forever. Love, christine
Guest guest
Hey everyone......I don't want to step on anyone's beliefs.....but I am sure I might just a little...I am talking about the ribbons that people have on their cars.....I think that it is awesome to show support to our troops.....being ex-military I think it is great....what I don't think is so great is that the ribbons are just a way for companies to make money and that pisses me off.....the people who buy the ribbons are showing there support....but the troops are not being paid more because people are buying ribbons.....they are not getting extra anything and in my opinion...our military is under paid.....They deserve everything...I would love to see those companies that sell the ribbons come onto tv and say...ok well we sold 10,000,00 ribbons and we paid ourselves a salary and paid for the ribbons which cost us 10 cents to make and now the rest of the money we are sending off to the troops......I know this has nothing to do with panc...but thought I would share my view on it..... I hope this finds you and yours well Cynical Mark...lol
Guest guest
Dude, (aka Cybical Mark) 1st of all, get it right. You were " military light " . Not to be confused with REAL military service. Yep, I have a ribbon, Mine says " Freedom isn't Free " . I bought mine on the way to Ft Carson, CO. All of the proceeds went to the deployed soldiers to buy soap and toothpaste and let's not forget FOOT POWDER!!! I bought in a military town. When the ribbons first started, a few mom's got together with the idea to raise money and awareness for the troops, Now, it's very commericalized and it hacks me off to no end when I see stickers of our flag that are torn, etc. That's not patriotism....don't EVEN get me started on that! UURRGGGG! That's almost as bad as Airforce people saying they " military " ! LOL -Kathleen
