Guest guest
Hi all We've been on the diet for about 2.5 weeks - had a couple of setbacks - found an old granola bar in the bottom of a backpack - and an old box of Kix cereal in the garage..ugh!! But we are determined to succeed! My question - what does everyone who has school age children do at Halloween? My 14 year old Autistic twin boys will be devastated if they cant trick or treat - I considered carrying an empty bag behind them and then having them dump out all the candy as the progress from house to house...but what does everyone do for candy. I saw on Lucy's kitchen there were some vanilla and cinnamon flavored candy - has anyone tried them or have a recipe for candy....and some advice? Guest guest
Does anyone order from White Egret Farms in Texas? I faxed an order to them last Thursday with a credit card number attached. The next day I e-mailed them asking for a confirmation that they received the fax. I've not heard anything from them. At another time, I've left a message on their answering machine saying I wanted info. on a product and they never called back. I've never ordered from them before, but have heard good things about them, so I'm wondering what's going on. Can anyone tell me if that's how they work or should I have heard from them. Thanks, Diane (mom to 8 year old son with autism, SCD for one week)
Guest guest
I'm planning to make my daughters favorite SCD legal treats for here at home. We give little toys instead of candy to trick-or-treaters (have for years), so I don't have to worry about her getting into that. She is 8 so still wants to go trick-or-treating with her friends. I told her I would trade her all the candy she gets for a toy of choice ($20 limit). She's all for it!
