Guest guest
My PCP told me that insurance companies have meetings to find WAYS to KEEP from paying the DOCTORS for taking care of us. We PAY for insurance and then THEY don't want to pay.. They find as many ways as they can to put off paying the bill as the LONGER they keep it the MORE interest they earn. What doctors charge and what THEY ACTUALLY GET IS 2 TOTALLY DIFFERENT AMOUNTS... BIG DIFFERENCE. That is NOT right.. Doctors learn how to treat us and keep us healthy... They TOLD me that I was covered 100% for Dr. R and this surgery..... so TODAY.................... I GET A DENIAL FOR THE CLINIC STATING THAT WEIGHT LOSS IS NOT COVERED UNDER MY PLAN.... NOW THIS IS RIDICULOUS... THE SUPVR AND THE NURSE BOTH CALLED ME FROM BLUE CROSS TELLING ME THAT I WAS " APPROVED " ... NOW I AM NOT COVERED. what? I say... SO I call them today and ask them what's up? She said I am not covered... so then.. AMAZINGLY..... OK, YOU did NOT have a referral... when I did, so then I argue some more.. THEN FINALLY SHE SAYS OK, I SEE IT NOW... YOU DID HAVE THE AUTHORIZATION.. I WILL SEND IT THRU AGAIN TO HAVE IT PAID NOW... SEE THAT IS JUST ONE OF THEIR TACTICS... THEY DELAYED BILLING... ON THAT... AND IF I DIDN'T READ MY STATEMENT AND ACT IMMEDIATELY, JUST THINK HOW LONG THIS WOULD AND COULD BE DELAYED... IT'S NO WONDER DOCTORS HAVE TO REQUIRE DEPOSITS UP FRONT... INS IS SOMETHING WE PAY FOR ..AND THEN WHEN WE USE IT THEY DON'T WANT TO PAY. I BET THE INSURANCE COMPANIES PAY THEIR AUTO MECHANICS MORE THAN THEY PAY OUR DOCTORS... Let's all hear it for OUR DOCTORS who SHOULD not have to put up with this...... HOW would the insurance companies like to have to beg for their paychecks and jump hoops to get it....... forever greatful to Dr. R for putting up with them in the first place...
