Guest guest
MCT Oil is an oil based Medium Chain Triglyceride, thus the abbreviation: MCT. It provides 115 calories per 15 ml or tablespoon or 7.7 calories per ml. MCT Oil is indicated for persons with inadequate digestion or absorption of fats. The recommended dosage for adults is 15 ml or 1 tablespoon three or four times a day. (Tid / Qid). Possible side effects of MCT Oil are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal distention, and cramps. These can be minimized by mixing the oil with salad dressing, chilled fruit juice, or sauces. It is important to understand that MCT Oil is not a source of essential fatty acids, which everyone needs.
