Should I peel before making apple or pear sauce? vigilance indeed! I have to say each time I learn something, I try not to get discouraged (with mistakes) - it gives me HOPE of getting better and healing this gut! For cooked apple juice along with your applesauce, cook the apples in extra water & strain the juice. I tried it first with the peels etc but I reacted to them. Eventually, I healed enough to tolerate it when I made it with peels and seived the peels out.
