Guest guest
What's the deal with blood pressure? For the life of me,. I can not understand what those numbers mean???? Yesterday I was 100/82. (my nurse was not happy about it)??? I am usually quite a bit lower and do not have more than 20 numbers in between the top and bottom numbers. Last week, They would not give me pain meds because I was doing my 60/40 thing again. Now they are looking at the bigger picture. If I have major surgery, and my blood pressure drops, they won't give me pain meds....HUMMM>>>that would suck. Before I had CP, I went to the gym every day and rode my bike, My blood pressure was 120/87 at any given time. Can someone PLEASE explain this to me? Even when I am not on meds of any kind, I stay low???? What's up with that? Thanks, Kathleen
Guest guest
Kathleen, Could it just be that you, by nature, run a low BP? Mine has always been around 110/70 or 105/60, ever since I can remember. While in hospital with my last attack it was down around 70/48 or lower, yet that didn't stop them from having me hooked up to the PCA with dilaudid, and letting me click, click, click away whenever I needed to. At one time it looked so low that I asked Bob to pinch me so I would know that I was still alive..... Why was the nurse not happy with a 100/82? Would a 165/95 have made her happier? I guess I don't understand. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
