Doctor's appt. to

Dear, dear Chrissy,

Hopefully by the time you see this you'll have returned from your

appointment with and will have something good to tell us. I've

been so worried about you, and meant to call, but I was in Georgia

visiting my daughter's mother-in-law all weekend, and had lost my

cell phone, to boot.

I don't like the sounds of all this pain that keeps lingering on and

on and on, quite like the Energizer battery. You can't seem to turn

it off no matter what you do, and you, of all people, deserve to have

a break!!! It seems to have been a never ending battle for you, and

this must have you feeling really cruddy. If y'all were leaving the

beach after only two hours this past weekend, then I know you were

hurting much too much. I just can't see you crawling into bed

without having a darned good reason, and just wish that all those

" reasons " would go away for good!

Please let me know what else the doc had to say at this morning's

appt., and how you feel about what he had to say. I don't want to

believe that there could be anything else wrong with you, but there

must be something that can explain the pain. You are in my prayers

every day, as my list gets longer and longer, but I do believe that

my pleas are heard and feel blessed whenever proof is shown...

Thank you for your earlier thoughts and advice. I try to listen and

follow it when I can, but sometimes it's hard. I feel like an

emotional zombie right now, and am trying hard to pick myself up. I

had a long talk with last night that actually made things

worse. It wasn't about Iraq, but about his tenative future marriage

plans with his on-again, off-again girl friend, and it saddens me

that he would choose her for all the wrong reasons. It is something

that we really need to discuss face to face, so he will listen and

understand where I'm coming from, but our opportunity for that has

past. I'll have to do it by email, instead. I need to walk it

through with another adult to know if what I believe makes sense....

However, now is the time for you to take care of yourself, dear

friend, and I will talk to you soon. If you don't post, expect my call.
