Sorry I missed your post before you spoke to your Nurse Practitioner.

gave you good information regarding the MScontin and Oxycontin. I

would

add a third long acting opiod, the Fentanyl patch.

I still encourage you to share the APCA's 2005 " Medication and Chronic Pain

Supplement " with your health care provider. In addition to narcotics, this

publication addresses the use of ancillary medications to manage pain, i.e.,

antidepressants, anticonvulsants, etc.
