Guest guest
I wanted to clarify the " Gentle Request " regarding keeping the subject heading up to date and related to the body of the text. After this is done, it does not matter what else you want to include in the subject heading, i.e., a person's name. However, do not simply write a person's name in the subject heading. If it is that personal you many want to send it to them directly. Speaking of this, many persons do send the posts to the board and also to the member they are responding to ensure they see the post. The point of this is that a person's name does not clue anyone in as to the topic of the post. Because of the nature of pancreatitis and chronic pain, many persons do not have pain free time or energy, to open and read every post. For this same reason I can understand why so many of you want to be able to use the subject heading like you would address an envelope. This is why it is okay for you to put a person's name following the topic of the post. I would like to share that I get emails from newcomers who think they are not allowed to read or answer posts that contain an individual's name. I do want to clarify that issue, as every post that is on the message board is open for every member to read and answer. I would like to add a request for more experienced members to take it upon themselves to update the subject headings on posts that you answer that simply have a name, or " ? Question, " etc. Simply update the subject heading in your response. If it is a questions, put the topic of the question. (and a person's name, if you want).
