If you can spend a few pounds more, i'd recommend Waitrose supermarkets, their food seems consistently to be of higher quality than the competition, their organic ranges are more comprehensive and the majority of their food appears to be less packed with additives. They do decent almond flour too. As for acidophillus pills.. i've never found a decent UK supplier, but I order these: http://biovea.net/product_detail.asp?PID=11 - which ship cheaply to the UK, despite actually coming from the USA. Cheers, Unsurprisingly you can order it online from any of the major supermarkets websites. http://www.sainsburystoyou.com/webconnect/index.jsp?bmUID=1169486156335 Also It's possible to buy in bulk too. From a really old message: HBS Foods Ltd Unit 6, Washington Centre, Halesowen Road, Dudley, W. Midlands DY2 9RE Tel: 01384 457705 Fax: 01384 457704 Give these people a ring and see what they can do. When I last ordered the price was £5 per kg and it was sold in 3 1/2 and 12 1/2 kg bags. P& P was £5.20 for the small bag and £10 for the large. You can look at their products online at hbsfoods.co. uk but ordering on their website is not yet up and running. Guest guest
Hi Tim, I have being doing SCD for 18 months in the Uk and there isn’t much. The only things that I buy prepared is organic passata from Sainsbury’s. Mango and apple juice (from pressed fruit) from M&S. Apple crisps again from Sainsbury’s and sesame and honey bars from Holland and Barrat although that is quite an advanced food. I buy things like coconut oil and coconut flour online from Tiana. Finally there are a few dried fruit bars that are okay from dietary need direct. Otherwise everything is home made. Guest guest
Hi Elaine, Tim and , << I have being doing SCD for 18 months in the Uk and there isn't much. The > only things that I buy prepared is organic passata from Sainsbury's.>> Canned and bottled tomato products are illegal. You can check out small companies and get a letter in writing that there are no SCD illegals (sugars, starches etc..). * note: gluten free doesn't mean the same as SCD legal. <<Mango> and apple juice (from pressed fruit) from M&S.>> Pressed apple juice (what North Americans call apple cider is legal - with no illegal additives) see http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/kb/apple_juice_ and_apple_cider.htm You'd have to check out the mango juice (letter from manufacturer) << Apple crisps again from > Sainsbury's and sesame and honey bars from Holland and Barrat although that> is quite an advanced food.>> Is the honey in the sesame bars pure, filtered honey? << I buy things like coconut oil and coconut flour online from Tiana. Finally > there are a few dried fruit bars that are okay from dietary need direct.> Otherwise everything is home made.>> The dried fruit bars are also an advanced item, not for newbies.
