Guest guest
I know exactly what you mean about the fatigue. There came a point in my disease where I was just falling asleep constantly. At work, behind the wheel. Sometimes when I got home from work I was so tired I could barely stay awake long enough to shower and often went to bed with wet hair long before my kids had even eaten dinner. A dinner I couldn't cook or eat. I found that the vitamins did help a lot with the fatigue. Do you take any? I am extremely emphatic that anybody with CP or any other conditions of malabsorbtion should be on supplements. I have gone round and round with my doc about just that and have fussed at him for not recommending it to his other panc patients. I gave him my list and he pooh-poohed med. No documented proof. I have been seriously considering establishing a PAI support group to m eet in person at MUSC so that I can encourage others along those lines. Just need to get a little bit stronger. We'll see. I understand entirely how you feel about the income. I have 3 kids. One is a sophmore in college, one is a freshman in HS and the other is in the 5th grade. My loss of income has been very difficult and I never thought at 43 I would be living pay to pay. Do you think that maybe your boss would let you shorten your daily hours? What kind of work do you do? Iknow you have told me but I have forgotten, sorry. We had a major hurricane here in '89. The little town I live in what literally wiped off the face of the earth. We couldn't get off our property for 3 days and I had no idea how my parents were for 5 days. Cell phones were a luxury of the rich back then. It destroyed my inlaws home and gutted my parents home. The lowcountry of SC was devasted and I had to rely on the kindness and generosity of strangers and the Red Cross just for the basic needs of life. We had no electricty for 5 weeks. We donthave levi's here so we didn't have that horrible flooding like in New Orleans but I can empathise with those folks in the bayou. I didn't think we were going to live through the night. I still have nightmares about it and now there is another storm churning off our coast. This area has never been the same since. I have been in tears watching these people on television and I have given what I could. The government of NOLA should have done mnore to get those poor people out. If you had money you got out, if you didn't, you were screwed. Thats more then a shame, its a sin. FEMA did a horrible job with us in '89 too. Oprah even came here too. Vent all you want, its like you said, the exposure does bring it all into a new prospective. You said it very well. I hope you feel better soon.
