Guest guest
Hi, Sheila had asked me if I had parasites. My naturopath wants me to tx them not b/c of a test but b/c of my lack of improvement on the diet (did candida for about 7 months before SCD). My question is: is SCD sufficient alone to treat parasites for some people? Do they get " starved " as well? If not, why isn't Black Walnut Powder legal? Also - i'm taking S Boulardi and Acidophilus - can I take them together with a meal or shoudl the SB be taken before eaten as the directions say. I got stuck withought breakfast at a conference yesteray and ate the eggs thinking that they'd only have a little milk in them so how bad can it be? Today sx - oh well, back in the saddle asap! Guest guest
Hi Liz, <<Sheila had asked me if I had parasites. My naturopath wants me to tx them not b/c of a test but b/c of my lack of improvement on the diet (did candida for about 7 months before SCD).>> Is your naturopath going to test for parasites to see which if any you have? <<My question is: is SCD sufficient alone to treat parasites for some people?>> For some yes, but it depends on the person, their bodies ability to get rid of it and what the parasite is. Some need treatments beyond SCD. << Do they get " starved " as well?>> It depends on the parasite. << If not, why isn't Black Walnut Powder legal?>> I wrote the extract may be fine, but the walnut root and hull may not be. *However*, Elaine always said if you need a medicine to treat an illness to go ahead and take it. You have to decide if you want to wait longer and see if SCD will take care of it or if you want to go the supplement/medicine route. It may help to be sure that that is the problem first. << Also - i'm taking S Boulardi and Acidophilus - can I take them together with a meal or shoudl the SB be taken before eaten as the directions say.>> You can take them at the same time. Just don't take S. boulardii with antifungals or the probiotics with antibiotics. Different preparations of SB say before meals , others say after. I'd go with what the manufacturer suggests first. After you adjust to it then if needed take it at different times of day to see if there is a difference in effect. << I got stuck withought breakfast at a conference yesteray and ate the eggs thinking that they'd only have a little milk in them so how bad can it be? Today sx - oh well, back in the saddle asap!>> The only eggs I trust when I eat out are hard boiled. Like you, I learned the hard way. Contact her direct putting parasites in Subject, please HTTP://WWW.BADBUGS.ORG will help. New site: http://www.badbugs.org/Blastocystis_hominis/bh_treatment2.htm I manage a site about Blasto. hominis. This bug is the most common protozoal parasite to infect humans (ie protozoals are microscopic parasites such as Giardia, a bug familiar to most people but not as common as either Blasto. or D.fragilis). Herbal treatments may, in less severe cases, reduce the parasite to ower levels. However, parasites are masters at survival and once treatment stops the hardier ones often grow back to cause the same level of ill health. Having managed the site for 7 years, and researched testing and teatment of parasitic infections for this long, I've only heard from two people, out of a few thousand, who recovered permanently by using herbal treatments. Many people who write to me have tried herbs for months, at geat expense, only to test positive after stopping. There are only a few drugs available which Blasto. is sensitive to.Unfortunatley there's no magic bullet at this stage, mainly because controversy Blasto's ability to cause illness has limited research (it's been a big issue since it was discovered in the early 1900s) In fact many drs refuse to treat Blasto. if they do not believe it's pathogenic. Luckily there are a few good doctors & researchers who take Bh very seriously as a cause of illness and these are the people doing the research. One Dr, a gastro., in Sydney treats this parasite with a combination of drugs. He knows how difficult it can be to eradicate, not in all cases, but enough for concern. He's currently trialling 3 drugs and the results will be avaialble in a few weeks. In the meantime I can send you other treatment info. I've collected from other sources for you to show your Dr. Please do not post the info. on this or any similar list because it's vitally important that treatment outcomes are monitored. This is the only way a good treatment for Blasto. will ever be found and drs educated on how to effectively treat this parasite. If you are interested in treatments feel free to contact me. The site address is www.badbugs.org. You'll also find info. about Blasto. there. Click on the " contact me " sign. I answer all emails, but sometimes there may be a delay depending on how many I've received that week. all the best.
