Hi

Is it legal to freeze the extra very ripe bananas since we can only

introduce a small amount at first (hubby bought too many & don't want

to waste them)?? I am so paranoid...started wondering if freezing them

might change/affect the natural sugar. Just don't want to sabbotage

our efforts.

THANKS!!

It is fine to freeze the bananas. We actually buy them by the case, let them

ripen and then freeze them on cookie sheets and then put them into plastic zip

lock bags in the freezer.

Hi,Pearl,

I imagine you can make muffins/breads/cookies with the frozen bananas

and use them for banana ice cream and smoothies. Is there anything

else you do with the frozen bananas?

I just defrost a couple at a time if I'm making muffins or cakes or make

smoothings and I have an omega juicer that I make sorbet with them. My kids

will just grab a frozen one also and wrap it in something to eat that way.

Dumb question. Do you peel them first before freezing them? Do they turn

brown?

It's not dumb because I have done them both ways but now I only peel them first

and then freeze. Pearl
