Guest guest
Hi Is it legal to freeze the extra very ripe bananas since we can only introduce a small amount at first (hubby bought too many & don't want to waste them)?? I am so paranoid...started wondering if freezing them might change/affect the natural sugar. Just don't want to sabbotage our efforts. THANKS!! Guest guest
It is fine to freeze the bananas. We actually buy them by the case, let them ripen and then freeze them on cookie sheets and then put them into plastic zip lock bags in the freezer. capps623 wrote: Hi Is it legal to freeze the extra very ripe bananas since we can only introduce a small amount at first (hubby bought too many & don't want to waste them)?? Guest guest
Hi,Pearl, I imagine you can make muffins/breads/cookies with the frozen bananas and use them for banana ice cream and smoothies. Is there anything else you do with the frozen bananas? mom to -12 SCD 4/23/
Guest guest
I just defrost a couple at a time if I'm making muffins or cakes or make smoothings and I have an omega juicer that I make sorbet with them. My kids will just grab a frozen one also and wrap it in something to eat that way. julie46250 wrote: Hi,Pearl, I imagine you can make muffins/breads/cookies with the frozen bananas and use them for banana ice cream and smoothies. Guest guest
Dumb question. Do you peel them first before freezing them? Do they turn brown? Guest guest
It's not dumb because I have done them both ways but now I only peel them first and then freeze.
