Dear Gang:

Here's another update:

I'm still doing very well, in general. Exceptions: very slight nausea after

eating a 4 oz. yogurt quickly, which dissipated immediately. Also, last night I

had insomnia, which may be related to my resumption of antidepressant medication

while my hormones are still in flux. I also woke up early with a mild headache.

I took a Vioxx which took several hours to work but then did so.

Otherwise, absolutely pain free. The incision closest to my bellybutton --

where my belly bulges out most and, in my lay opinion, puts most stress on the

incision -- has considerable purple bruising, but is not sensitive to touch and

does not look infected (i.e., no redness or signs of pus).

I nurse the suspicion that Dr. Rutledge made the 5 tiny incisions but then faked

the rest! How else can I feel this good?
