thanks to everyone who responded to my question about pain managment

drs. i see now that this is something i must do,weather i want to or

not.and i live in a small town just south of louisville, kentucky and

while my pcp is here,my g.i. dr. is in louisville.a while back,i

noticed a lady on here is from corydon, indiana,(patty?)which is right

across the bridge from louisville, and i wrote to her and asked what

drs. she sees in this area, and she gave me the name of her pain

managment dr. in louisville.i looked it up on my insurance's web-site

and he is listed on there.now my question is how do i go about seeing

this particular dr.?our insurance does'nt require referrals,but i'd

feel kinda silly just walking in there and saying " hi,my name is cindy

i have pancreatitis and i heard you might be able to help " and if i go

to my pcp or g.i. will they give me a referral to this particular one

i want to see? what if they've never even heard of him? i'm going to

try to get an appt.sometime next week.funny, the pain has eased up

these last few days(knock on wood),and i was sooo hungry

yesterday.and today my energy has picked up,i've been cleaning the

house from top to bottom!hope fully, this trend wiill continue till i

can see this pain dr. i just pray it does'nt take months for an

appt.like it did with the g.i.,then i don't know what i'll do!! hope

everyone is having a good day.thanks again!

cindy
