Guest guest
Angie, Two other ways to remove the adhesive from Duragesic Patches are: 1) Put an ice cube in a washcloth and rub against the adhesive. 2) Ask the nurse at your doctor's office, lab, or hospital for several adhesive removal pads. They look just like the package of alcohol swabs used before they dray blood to clean a site. I stored up on them when I had TPN, as the nurse used the adhesive removal pads to remove the adhesive from the Op-Site (Tegaderm, etc) Karyn , RN Executive Director, PAI Indianapolis, Indiana
Guest guest
Karyn and Angie, another way of removing the adhesive from Duragesic pads is to use rubbing alcohol. Just put some rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab or use an alcohol pad and rub against the adhesive. This was advice a nurse gave me as I had one acute attack in the hospital where they had me on the Duragesic pads. This also works for any other type of adhesive residue left from other objects: tape, etc. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@...
