Guest guest
Hi everyone, Sorry I haven't posted in ages but I've been traveling a lot for work. Just wanted to check in and let you all know how I'm doing. I was 6 weeks post op on Thanksgiving day and down 34 lbs but it feels like more because of the inches. I actually was able to eat one slice of turkey with small amount of gravy, 2 tbs stuffing, 2 tbs. mashed potatoes, small portion cranberry sauce, small amount of macaroni and cheese. I also ate spinach dip and crackers in the mid- day. So I basically ate the same as everyone else, just mini-portions and I was stuffed. The next night we went out to sushi and I had teriaki grilled salmon, steamed rice, salad with ginger dressing and grilled veggies....again, all in small portions. So basically I can now eat out with others but I just eat very small amounts and have to do it very slowly. But the payoff is that I feel FANTASTIC. Every time I pass a mirror, I'm shocked. My face has reappeared after years in hybernation under the fat rolls. I'm worried that I'm becoming self-centered and it seems like all I do is think about how great I look. But I guess after years of feeling like s**t, I deserve a month or two of good feelings. Anyway, Happy Holidays to all!!! in Atlanta MGB 10/12/00 275/
Guest guest
, Loved your post. Bet it's great eating out at restaurants again, who cares if its small protions, right? I love eating out, not for the food, but for the fun and envirement (sp) and especially because I don't have to cook, someone actually waits on me for a change. Doggy bags will make great snacks, and next days lunches.. LOL Trudy 6 weeks postop Hi everyone, Sorry I haven't posted in ages but I've been traveling a lot for work.
