Karyn,

One this gene mutation has occurred, does the research indicate if subsequent

intake of

alcohol further agravates the pancreas? If you have any citations on this I'd

be interested

in them.

Burnout, as you mention could of course also be a concern for me, if even small

amounts

of alcohol would cause that. Unlike Jim, what remains of my pancreas seems to

be enough

to function. I take enzymes - Lipram CR10- but according to my GI that's mainly

so

pancreas just doesn't have to work so hard.
