Guest guest
Hey Kaye, Thanks alot for your reply! I will ask about the IV3000, but since I have a port-a-cath, I don't need a covering all the time, only when it is accessed. I never thought about the tegaderm being added to my allergy list, but it sure does make sense! I will add it as soon as I finish this! I have a copy of my medical info stored on this computer, and then when I need to take it to the doc's or hospitals I just print a new copy out. I also am allergic to all the tapes, and I think you are right about our body rejecting stuff. Hopefully, now that I said that, mine won't reject my port-Quick! Knock on wood!!!! That wouldn't be good, whould it?!?!?! lol.....I hope you are feeling well, and you are having a great weekend! Lots of Hugs, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ---, " Kaye " wrote: I too am allergic to Tegaderm. There are other coverings they can use. One is called IV 3000, it has orange edges and then there is Sorba-View. They may have to order these things but if you are allergic to Tegaderm, it needs to be on your allergy list and not used at all.
