Guest guest
Please tell me that you are cutting down on that dosage of ativan and weaning off that way. When I thought I was " hooked " on zanax I tried 3 days not to take it. My pancreas flared, I had bad times trying to sleep. All because I didn't cut the dosage just went cold turkey. I was informed by my FNP that zanax is also a anti-spasmatic so I don't mind taking . Helps keep my pancreas from spasm+ing and my SOD from going haywire too. Don't get me wrong, they still do it, but it helsp. And in the 3 years I have been taking zanax, I haven't had to go back to the ER or hospital for surgery. I only take it before bed or now when the bad is so bad and I have to take a percocet...which I only take at bedtime so far. I was told if I was addicted to it, I would be counting my pills, thinking about it all the time, trying to take more to get a better high, hoarding them, taking them at all times, etc. I do none of this. If you want off the ativan (which I have taken) then please wean yourself off slowly. Reduce the dosage to the point it is almost nill. Going cold turkey off of it can leave bad side effects you may not be prepared to deal with. Sandy in Ca -------------- Original message -------------- keep remebering other questions after I send prior one. Has cp disrupted the quality of your sleep, and what do you take for sleep (anyone on benzodiazepams???). 3rd day of weaning cold turkey off Ativan....bad w/d effects.
