Guest guest
Hi, My name is nne and I am a new member here. I've been just hanging out for a while learning while I get ready to transition my family to SCD. Our purpose is to help my 7 y/o son who has severe behavioral and emotional problems, but we're all going to benefit from it I think. And the whole household has to do it because if I leave illegal foods in the house, my son WILL find a way to eat them, no matter how well I hide them or lock them up. So this brings me to my problem: I have a 6 month old and she is going to be exploring finger foods soon. Are there decent alternatives to foods like cheerios, crackers, etc? Thanks. nne
Guest guest
Welcome, nne! I just did a couple of quick searches and found lots of info in the archives. Right now I don't have the time to retrieve the best links, so... if you go to the archives here: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/pecanbread/messages and type in " finger foods " in the search box, you will find lots of ideas. Also try the search term " ABA reinforcers " because a lot of those suggestions could be helpful. You will have to choose among the suggestions, leaving out anything too advanced on the diet. I'm sure listmembers will offer some ideas, but the archives are also a great place to learn. mom to -12 SCD 4/23/
