I hate to tell you that there is NOTHING sure with pancreatitis. You could eat so strictly that the hair would fall off of a suckling pig. You could do your daily exercises (if you can) religiously without fail. You could keep your medical regimine to the letter without fail. You can be a downright " perfect " human being. NONE of that matters with this illness because you can still have chronic pain, chronic fatigue, chronic dizziness and on and on and on . . . . It is hard to win with this disease. Even those who get relief due to surgery have mainly only received a 2-4 year reprieve only to fall back into the same place they were when they started, or even worse. But let me give you this word of encouragement. Try to laugh a lot. Try to keep as many of your friends as you can. " Sing, like you don't need the money. Love, like you'll never get hurt.
