But we did not do the intro diet as we > thought he would not eat such a restrictive diet. Thus we have been > on the " nut diet " or diet consisting mainly of peanutbutter bannana > pancakes and ground beef. > > We put him on Rx Antifungals for 30 days while on the " nut diet " . > We then we recieved an oat panal that stated he had elevated yeast > ect ect. So he still has Yeast issues after all that! > > We are going to start all over with the intro diet and the stages > and do it right. After 4 months of learning we are still learning > what not to do. But we are determined. > > My question is should I keep him off the antifungals while he is > starting the diet? Has anyone had any experiences like this. I > have to think we are not the first people in this situation. > > Thanks in advance > (Father of )>> If you are already on the antifungals you can continue them and do the intro diet. Doing the antifungals and intro together may boost die off and cause more die off symptoms, so if you aren't using them now you may want to wait a few days until after the intro and gradually add them in so the die off symptoms won't be overwhelming. Which antifungals is he on? Some of the Nystatin preparations have sucrose in them. That is what he was on before we got these results. I may not use the Ketoconazole because it dries his skin out and I do not know how effective it is. Our plan is now to start him on the Diflucan as we figure out how to pull off the intro diet. Then when we start the intro diet stop the antifungals. Then see how he reacts. We may even try something like oregano-oil after the intro diet is up and running.
