Hi all,

I need some advice. My daughter (age 13, Asperger's) saw some good

initial success with the diet, in the first week. We were so

astonished.

But lately she's been having a really rough time. Currently her diet

includes the meats, eggs, ghee, corn and safflower and olive oils,

carrots, butternut, acorn squash, zucchini, yellow squash, celery,

banana, cabbage, apple, raisins, prunes, onions, garlic, avocado,

pumpkin, scd goat milk yogurt (she's up to 2T. per day), blue

berries, strawberries, black berries, mushrooms and honey. And I've

made one batch of almond flour pumpkin cookies of which she has only

eaten a few and not all at once.

Everything cooked and peeled, except for banana and avocado. We've

added one food at a time, but I'm wondering if we went too quickly.

She's having lots of emotional symptoms, meltdowns, difficulty

putting thoughts into words and the resultant frustration. Hits

herself in the head again and again.

Her constipation is much better, thanks to the protocol and stewed

prunes.

She's also got a snuffly nose.

Is this just major die off? How do we tell if we are doing things

wrong?

She's also on No-Fenol and Peptizyde from Houston Neutraceuticals.

Any advice would be welcome.

Thanks,

Alana

I suspect you went too fast, Alana. Celery is fibrous, cabbage can be

hard to digest. Dried fruits like raisins are *really* advanced. The

berries have seeds, which can be a problem. I would pull all those out

and see if she improves. If not, I'd advise going back to the intro

and advancing more slowly this time.
