Guest guest
I'm going to use oil of oregano to help combat my daughter's yeast. Directions are for two drops, under the tongue. Would you recommend that dosage for yeast issues? When is the best time to give it to her? I'm using the Oreganol brand. Can I just check that it is legal. It does not contain any other ingredients. Also, after reading about Nordic Naturals CLO I'm confused. Is that brand SCD legal, would you recommend Kirkman over it? Is Kirkman CLO purer? Thanks, , mom to Amy, 10, 21 mths SCD. Guest guest
Hi , <<I'm going to use oil of oregano to help combat my daughter's yeast. > Directions are for two drops, under the tongue. > Would you recommend that dosage for yeast issues?>> I don't know if other parents her use it for their children, but some websites I have looked at suggest children under 7 only use it externally. Others give dosages for children. There is an example on how to use it externally at http://curingherbs.com/using_wild_oregano_oil.htm This describes dosages for children http://www.naturalenergies- online.com/oil_of_oregano.php#Q9 When I took oil of oregano I sometimes took only one drop - it is very strong tasting and it feels as if it is burning. Have you tried it? Sometimes I diluted the drops in water/diluted juice. <<When is the best time to give it to her?>> It depends on if you are using other probiotics or other antifungals. <<I'm using the Oreganol brand. The Nordic Naturals CLO that Kirkman also sells has Omega 3's but slightly less vitamin A and D. The kirkmans has smaller capsules. What you choose depends on what you are looking for. I use Carlson's CLO - it gives the correct level of A and D that Elaine recommended and also has some omega 3's. Guest guest
So should you give the oil of oregano seperate from the probiotics? Is it ok to give with antifungals? I just ordered some too for my almost 10 year old. I have been giving him oregano capsules but just wondered if I need to give these at different times. I usually give about the same time as antifungals but not with probiotics. Is this right? Thanks. --- Sheila Trenholm wrote: > Hi , > > <<I'm going to use oil of oregano to help combat my > daughter's yeast. > > Directions are for two drops, under the tongue. > > Would you recommend that dosage for yeast > issues?>> > > I don't know if other parents her use it for their > children, but some > websites I have looked at suggest children under 7 > only use it > externally. Guest guest
Hi, , Allow 2-3 hours between an antifungal and a probiotic. Since oil of oregano is an antifungal, do not use it with another antifungal. People generally rotate different antifungals and do not use them together. You can use a yeast enzyme with an antifungal. mom to -12 SCD 4/23/
