Guest guest
I think that with all that we have been through its perfectly normal to be a little hypervigilent. But I know what yo mean, you try not to think that every little thing is a huge problem. This is all still so new to me. I hope you get over the pneumonia quickly. Did they put you on anitbiotics? BTW did you ever have to adjust your enzymes since your total? Do you have any residual pain? Well I do hope your well soon. Guess you will probably be thinking twice before you listen to your husband again and I bet he will think t twice too... My husband sometimes gets very angry that I am not feeling better. I am not sure who he is angry with, me, life, or what. It certainly doesn't help to settle my nerves any thats for sure. I am just going to focus on moving forward, thinking positively that things will get better in time and I shouldn't waste any more time fretting about what might be, or what might not be. I need to accept the me I am now and that I may never have the strength I once had. Besides I 'm not getting any younger, will be 44 in a few weeks. There are still so many things I want to do. So I need to quit the worrying and whining and get on with my life. Are you still in college or are you working now? Sorry I cant recall, blame it on all those drugs...LOL. Thanks for the input, I really appreciate it. Warmly,
Guest guest
, I am going to college and working. I am doing very well since the TP/ICT. I don't have any residual pain. I have had a few times where I have had my liver functions significantly elevated and not felt very well during those times. They did an ultrasound and found no stones in the bile duct. I was also did bloodwork that day, but I was feeling well. The next time I get pain and nausea I'm supposed to go have LFTs and another ultrasound. The doctor thinks that I have SOD again. I only get the pain about once every three or four months. Crystal Galloway
Guest guest
The doctor thinks that I have SOD again. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Please forgive me for having taken so long to get back to you. I have been in one of those periods of self exploration and needed to re-evaluate where my life has been and what I hope to gain from it. I am curious about your doc telling you that you may have SOD once again. It seems to me, and I could be way off base here, that after having the total pancreatectomy that your sphinter of Oddi would have been removed. If that is the case, then how can you have sphincter of Oddi dysfunction without the sphincter of oddi. I know that I no longer even have so much as a remnent of my pancreas left. I also have days or periods of time where I am more nauseas. I thought that maybe I had a little gastropareis but my doc does not think so. Either way I take a dose of reglan and if I still feel naseated I pop a zofran. My pain seems to have decreased as well as the digestive diffculties, thank goodness. I was really scared that there was a problem. What kind of work do you do? Did you once say that your major in college was PE. Forgive me for haven forgotten but I have taken alot of drugs over the last few years and they do wreak havoc on my short term memory. How long before you graduate? I hope that you dont have any more problems with pain and nausea and that your LFT's will never have to be checked. Personally after all that you and I have endured we are allowed to get worried and frightened when some thing seems to be a bit askew. Take care and please keep in touch. We tp-auto ict folks need to stick together. Strength in number right. Take care
Guest guest
SOD is not removed when you a tp/ict. Only the whipple removes it. (out of the mouth of Dr Sutherland)
